Performance Coach (Internship) - Potential for Part-Time Employment
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with implementing individualized performance training programs for baseball and softball athletes
Conduct and support biomechanical, mobility, and functional movement assessments to establish baselines and track progress
Help athletes develop key movement patterns that translate to on-field performance - strength, speed, rotational power, and athletic efficiency
Work within group and individual training environments to ensure quality instruction and athlete engagement
Analyze athlete data and metrics to support ongoing program design and progression
Collaborate with experienced staff to refine coaching methods, understand training systems, and enhance overall performance outcomes
Qualifications:
Background in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Performance, or related field preferred
Passion for baseball/softball performance and youth athlete development
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable, professional, and coachable
Prior playing or coaching experience preferred
Baseball and/or Softball Instructor (Seasonal or Year-Round)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and small-group lessons focusing on hitting, pitching, fielding, or catching (based on expertise).
Develop customized training plans that address each athlete’s strengths and areas for improvement.
Utilize performance technology, such as Rapsodo and video analysis, to provide measurable feedback and enhance development.
Communicate clearly and professionally with athletes and parents regarding process and expectations.
Assist with seasonal programs, clinics, and camps as needed/desired.
Maintain a positive, growth-oriented culture that represents Granite Peak Athletics’ core values.
Qualifications:
Prior playing and/or coaching experience in baseball or softball (collegiate or professional background preferred).
Strong understanding of skill development, mechanics, and player progression.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt instruction for athletes of different ages and skill levels.
Reliable, professional, and passionate about youth development.
Experience using technology such as Rapsodo, Trackman, Hittrax, Blast Motion, or video analysis tools preferred.
